Safety rules
Our focus is to provide good experiences in a safe environment. Therefore, our highest priority is safety. Read our safety rules before you book a trip and come to climb.

1. It is forbidden to use the Rungu Via Ferrata without having undergone safety training, as well as having read and understood all safety rules. Each individual user must always participate in the complete practical and theoretical training before climbing. Careful and careful compliance with all rules and instructions is the sole responsibility of the user.
2. All safety equipment must be used in accordance with all the instructions given. The harness must be tight at all times. Ask if you are unsure whether the harness fits well. Also wear a helmet on the way down for increased safety. After the end of the session, all safety equipment must be returned.
3. The age limit is 10 years. People under the age of 15 must climb with a guardian. Persons under the age of 18 must have the approval of a parent or guardian before climbing. Everyone who climbs must be over 40kg.
4. Registration is mandatory. When registering, you are required to sign a self-declaration which means that you have read all the safety rules and have understood all of the instructions that are given. In the case of minor participants, the guardian or guardian is obliged to explain these to the minor.
5. When climbing the Rungu Via Ferrata there are certain dangers that have risks. It is important to move calmly and in a controlled manner throughout the trip and consider every step you take for increased safety.
6. Each participant is responsible for their own activity and safety in Rungu. For minor participants, the guardian or guardian is responsible for their own, and the minor’s, activity and safety. The minor must be actively accompanied throughout the trip.
7. Where there is wire, this must always be used, where the carabiners must be attached and securely locked. The carabiners are attached in the opposite direction in relation to each other so that you avoid disconnecting both carabiners at the same time by making a mistake.
8. Keep a safe distance from the climber in front of you, this is especially important in places with a higher risk. Let there be at least one eye bolt between each participant. If you climb together but a minor, you can climb a little closer.
9. If you are going to pass other climbers, it is important to do this on flatter parts with the utmost care, without disconnecting from the wire. It is therefore important to communicate well with those to be passed to avoid anyone feeling unsafe or pressured.
10. Be aware of loose items such as drink bottles, telephones, cameras, rucksacks, loose stones etc. which may pose a danger to yourself or others who come climbing after.
11. Persons with mental or physical disorders that will be a threat to their own and others’ health are not allowed to climb Rungu.
12. Persons under the influence of alcohol or other drugs are not allowed to climb Rungu.
13. Pregnant women, people who are epileptic, suffer from a back and/or neck injury or have heart problems are not recommended to climb before they have consulted a doctor.
14. Rungu Via Ferrata is not responsible for valuables that are lost during the climb, on the way down or possibly lost from cars, bicycles, etc.
15. The steep Via Ferrata can, without reservation, close the climbing path for safety reasons, such as special weather conditions or maintenance.
16. The use of gloves is recommended. This also provides good protection against the wire. The gloves we have for sale are of the type with a rubber coating so that you achieve the most possible friction when you hold on.
